I'm the type of person who loves the Harry Potter series, the world of witch and wizardry, and have a high fascination with that type of fantasy. M.R. Street, even though this book is not of that caliber, has written "The Werewolf's Daughter" with that appeal to keep my interest high and make me want to read more. The characters are few in the book so it makes for good personality development and no confusion of who is what or what is who. The main character, Lani, is a 15-year old girl who is trying to find her mother after her father dies. She has many adventures during her travels, especially with the gypsies and their folklore. She meets one particular person, Jace, who she has a special connection with and it's the start of a new and, perhaps, lasting friendship.M.R. ends the book with a cliffhanger so she makes you want to find out what comes next. That will happen as soon as her next book is published. Can't wait!

The Werewolf Daughter MR Street Allison Street 9780985943806 Books Reviews
This book gives you a glimpse of what it would be like to have a werewolf as a mom. I enjoyed the book but do advise it should be for children 10 and up for it has a few cuss words ( which I don't think were necessary in the book). This book would be a little hard to follow for little children and has a few intense moments for some kids. All in all it is a very good book and it has a lot of mystery and adventure especially in the end.
MR Street's The Werewolf's Daughter excites from beginning to end. Things are never what they seem. Young adult audiences should love the twists and turns and the folklore injected throughout. Street pens about the long history that entwines the Gypsies and werewolves. Lani, the fifteen year old heroine, travels to find out the truth about her mother. Is she a werewolf and is Lani going to have to kill her to break the curse? Lots of dialogue keeps you engrossed in the story and it is written with a fast paced breathless feel that keeps you turning the page. Well Done MR!
Love triangles, suspenseful mysteries, and of course, werewolves – what more could a reader ask for! Deaths occur frequently in the novel, but Lani carries on. The story picks up its gait when Lani hunts for her mom, who may or may not be alive. The reader will find it hard to put down the book, as one event happens right after the next. M.R. Street’s ending leaves the reader content that the story of The Werewolf’s Daughter is complete, but she also drops a twinge of curiosity in the reader for the story to come.
Just finished "The Werewolf's Daughter." The suspense and twists in the story really kept me turning the pages. Confession I am not really a fan of vampires or werewolves in fiction. That didn't keep me from enjoying every minute of reading this book. M. R. Street has written a real winner here. This is so well written, the word choices just perfect, the plot laid out with plenty of clues yet still managing to surprise. This is Y/A fiction at its best. I taught high school English for decades and know that my students would have loved this book. So will adult readers because it has crossover appeal.
This was an excellent story with a different perspective than I expected. I would recommend this book anyone who likes paranormal mysteries. I'd recommend sharing it with your friends.
Great read - I enjoy YA novels and, once I started this one, I couldn't put it down.
While this wasn't the best book I've ever read it was really good. I liked that although there was a love triangle it wasn't the main focus, it even really have that much storyline.
I did find some of it to be too much of a coincidence. I don't really see how Lani could spend her whole life surrounded by werewolves and not notice something. And the end with Romy, I'm still not sure what happened with that.
But I did like it enough to want to read the sequel.
