The start of this book really caught me. Felix, aka Fix, and Sera are thrown into a room together at a crappy motel after they are caught in a storm. Both are strong willed, confident characters and after a few drinks they have an amazing night. Sera is trying desperately to make it to her sister's wedding and awakes to find three of her tyres slashed. Fix offers to give her a lift and as she's looking for him, she stumbles into him killing a hit. He drives her to her sister's wedding in order to assure himself that she won't blab to the authorities. She goes along with it.

While the first half of the book drew me in, the second half was a letdown. There was one ridiculous bit after another. It became a bit repetitive as Sera's past abuse was constantly brought up, as was Fix's dark side. Sera's extremely abusive father was invited to the wedding by the in-laws without their knowledge or consent, creating drama. Yuck. Sera's cheating ex was the best man and he was there with one of the girls he'd slept with who was also a bridesmaid with her. Yuck. During the wedding reception, Fix and Sera loudly begin purposefully dirty talking each other, loudly enough that half of the guests hear, including elderly folk. I'm talking graphic, foul language that sounded trashy. I'm no prude but this was just ridiculous. Surely a hitman would try to not draw attention to himself? Yuck again. Fix was a former priest who became a hitman due to a traumatic event. Goodness knows where that came from. Maybe it was supposed to be like an angel of death thing or darkness meeting light? It wasn't.

Also, due to the nature of the abuse, it might be a trigger for some readers. A warning might have been helpful. Apart from Fix and Sera in the first part of the book, I didn't like any of the other characters. Sera's sister was a selfish primadonna. The second half of the book was as bland as it was ridiculous as it was just around the wedding reception. The title is click bait as it doesn't reflect the story at all. Fix apparently only kills bad people, but that also didn't match up with the story. There were also quite a few typos that were missed.

Warning - this book does end on a major cliffhanger. I felt blindsided as although I read it was a series, I didn't feel as though I was given a complete story. Two stars only because of the first half.
I thought this was a fantastic book. Lots of story, some steamy scenes, excitement, danger... I was absolutely enjoying reading it until the book cut off mid conversation about halfway through the story. Whaaaa? Did my mess up? Was this the ending and we're just supposed to be OK with no closure and a lot of unanswered questions? Then I read the author's note at the end and was told... Nope. This is only the first half of the book. Surprise! You didn't buy a full story. You bought part of a story. I'm still writing my book and you can buy the other part when I finish it.

I will not be buying anything else by this author. It's not that I don't like series, I do, and I've read many and enjoyed them. But this isn't a SERIES. This is one story. Cut in half. Ending mid-conversation between the two main characters as they sit in his truck. Lame!

Have you ever ridden one of those old wooden roller coasters that seem to take forever to get to the top of the first hill because of the anticipation? But once you cross the high point it's a mouth hanging open, full scream wild ride. That's Dirty.

Fix is an enigma, with secrets and history to rival Sera's. But once they clash, the Gods can hear them come together. I had no idea where this story was taking me, I just hung on for the ride and enjoyed every moment. Even the brick wall Callie through up at the end.......

If you love Zeth & Sloane, you will love Fix & Sera without a doubt. I can't wait to see where Callie takes us with this series!!
No editing?!! This was riddled with mistakes, mistakes an established author's book should not have. There were missing words, so many extra words mid sentence, parts where the author forgot who was speaking. Completely disappointing, and this has happened often in this author's recent releases.
I hope that the next book with Fix and Sera is better because I really like the concept. I want to know what happens next especially after that cliff hanger.
Had the story not been intriguing, this book would have deserved a lower rating for quality.
WOW This book was phenomenal. As soon as I started reading there was no way I would put it down until I was finished. The title is perfect, Fix is a dirty mouth sexy hit man who has no filter. Fix & Sera shouldn’t be together but somehow they can’t stay away. When secrets are revealed, everything changes. The ending OMG I need the next book ASAP, I need to know wtf is going too happen next. A brilliant twisted 5 Star read that everyone must read.
