I am so upset with myself that I was so reluctant to read this book. I thought I read somewhere that it ended in a cliffhanger (which it did not) so that may be why I stayed away and honestly I need to be in the mood to read a PNR book. All the characters brought out so many emotions. Some sad, some pissed off, some horrified of the evil in them, and some where my heart fluttered. Both the main characters, Cece and Jasper, brought out wanting to tear my hair out, smack them over their heads, but also all the good. I was in awe of Cece’s emotional and physcial strength, her ability to adapt, accept, and to fight for what is right. As much as I loved how fearlessly she fought to get her roommate, Jade back, I think I respected her more when she fought so hard to save Onyx. And Jasper, what a jerk he can be, but once he let go and allowed himself to admit his feelings for Cece, he was all in. Took him awhile and there were some consequences, but I was happy about their HEA.
I am so curious about the secondary characters, Jade, formally so naive, but with what happened to her, I want to know how she will overcome her ordeal. I am not sure if she will be getting her own story or not, she trusts Doyle already so maybe it's not needed. Doyle is also an interesting side character, he showed how much he can love.
All in all I loved this book, it was very different from this author’s other books but it just shows how a great writer she is! Looking forward to book 2!

Into The Green The Green Series Book 1 edition by Jessica Gadziala Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Into the Green is a mystical story filled with a number of magical creatures such as fae, gnomes, nymphs, pixies, witches and even a dragon. The description for the book in no way does it justice. Had I known more about what this story was really about, I would have already downloaded and read it.
My love for reading started in the paranormal genre when I began reading a series about a certain wizard with a lightning scar. I drove my family crazy because I would get lost in the pages and escape to worlds somewhere else. Over the years I’ve moved more into reading romance, however I still love a good fantasy when I can find one. This book was that for me. It’s both fantasy and romance. I got wrapped up in these characters from the beginning and couldn’t wait to see how the story was going to unfold. I adored Cece, Jasper and Doyle and liked Jade and Onyx as well. The Green was a fantastical place filled with mystery and wonder. The light and dark courts and the characters of each helped to create a place I can’t wait to visit again.
I’m looking forward to reading Drake and Amethyst's story next, and hope to see more of Jet and learn more about him. I know that something has to happen with Cass and Cece and Dany being back to herself.
If you love magical and fantastical stories, Into the Green is a good one to read.
So I set out to re-read each of Jessica's books and leave a review so that the information would be fresh in my mind. I found Into the Green by doing this and OMG! I am so amazed.
I knew Jessica had a down dirty rough side with most of her writing, but add the mystical to it and It is pure magic!
I've always been in love with mystical, mythological, and paranormal books. This book fits so well that I quite literally was hanging on every word. I started it with the intention of taking my time but finished it in one night. (of course it meant a late night but with this great of a book, I'm not sure I care much.)
The subject matter is new, fresh, and imaginative. It really opens up a new perspective on mystics and the fae. I don't want to give too many spoilers because I want people to read the book in all it's glory. So small tidbit, the heroine is so kick ass. A little annoying at times but very street smart and a quick learner. The lead heroine and friends will make you cry, laugh, and sometimes want to throw the kindle.
We are going on an adventure!
The Fae are not new to me, from Seelie to Selkie and back again, but I couldn’t be happier with Jessica’s take on the fairy realm. We weren’t required to travel to Ireland in order to enter The Green, giving the magical illusion that Radcaps or Baba Yaga herself could be right in your back yard. A fresh take in my humble opinion that was a success right from the start.
Celestine “Cece” endeared me to her plight right away, first sentence. And while I liked her initially, I grew to love her more with each turn of the page. Character growth is SO important and I was blown away with how much she grew and grew and grew until the end. Definitely a heroine you can get behind.
Jasper was, maybe not right away, but certainly a charmer. As an Empath I think he was a perfect choice for our leading lady with her past hurts and iron walls a mile high. Also who isn’t a sucker for a devoted brother? He’s a subtle kind of hero that maybe isn’t white knight equivalent but still a Prince Charming...in his own way.
Now, I’m on a personal tangent here for a sec....let’s talk Doyle. Doyle not being our main hero absolutely does NOT mean he deserves second fiddle. My favorite moment in the book is a half paragraph almost overlooked mention that gets me every. single. time. I’ve read this book enough times I feel that says something.
Jessica is, I would say, more know for her Navesink Bank Universe and took a chance on taking us into The Green. A chance I am so thankful for. Now excuse me, I have to go charge the moonstone under my bed...those are good for making babies ya know.
